outfits for the home
Things I'd like to dress my home in...
Couldn't think of a better tray to serve afternoon tea on
Rufus would look so awesome in my baby's cot
The blanket that speaks for you when all you want to do is curl up on the couch and watch TV

style and the city
I'm not entirely sure who Kamel Lahmadi is, but his blog – Style and the City – is amazing. I don't understand a word on his blog either, it's all in French, but the pictures he takes speak for themselves. My favourites are all the stylish little kids... how cute? Looks like I'm gonna have to take my little girl on a shopping trip to Paris some time.
Ripped jeans and Converse with a gorge little scarf
Awesome boots and puffer jacket
A classic camel trench with skinnies tucked into boots
Suede loafers, turned up skinnies and the cutest jacket (this is my fave!)
Cable knit hoodie
When your mum is Emmanuelle Alt (Vogue Paris Fashion Director), you're going to be a stylish kid
Cute little polka dot scarf and grey skinnies... and I love her mum's leather jacket
Love the hat
in my next life
I would very much like to be a Japanese fashionista.

amanda, you rock
I'm such a big fan of Ugly Betty and I'm so devastated that Season 4 is the last. Boo hoo. So as a mini tribute to such a fabulous, hilarious show, here are a few of the gorge outfits that my fave character Amanda rocked at the Mode reception desk. The writers must have SO much fun with her script. And if you're a fan too, go and read Amanda's Blog... too funny.
There are rumours that an Ugly Betty movie is in the works... I truly hope so!

One of my fave moments, she wore one of Betty's leg warmers as a body-con dress

a girl can dream
Dear beautiful, perfect, black leather Jil Sander brogues...
Please be mine. I'm obsessed with you.
They're currently on sale on The Outnet for 157 pounds. Yowsers. But they were 393 pounds so it's a steal really.

stationery i love
Flowermill have been around for a few years now, but they're continually expanding to provide us with beautiful things. Their wrapping paper and gift cards are just the best and now you can order their new Sticky Boards – which are canvas notice boards coated with a non-toxic polymer that makes them sticky so you don't need to use drawing pins! Genius.
Flowermill also have a Canvas Art section called Ink Art where you can order prints on block mounted canvas in various sizes.
I like this kiddy Sticky Board... a lot.

magic chair
Although I love Kim's outfit today (she possesses so much Country Road, it's just not fair)... I love Kim even more in this oversized delicious pouf. I mean, it's the most ridiculously comfortable chair in the whole world. I promise. If you don't believe me, go to Nap Living at Cape Quarter and try it yourself. My eyes immediately wanted to shut when I sat in it... I think it has magic powers. Really. And as you can see, Kim loves it too... she also loves loads of other things, check out Kim Loves.
umbrella weather
So winter has officially arrived in Cape Town. We've had three days of continuous rain, still counting. I have a really nice stripey Gap umbrella which I love. But I'm also coveting a clear PVC dome umbrella, like this one from Umbrella Heaven...
Other really cute brollies I found:
Cath Kidston Cherry umbrella from Brollies Galore.
And the Burberry heart umbrella from Nordstrom.
What makes the Vision "Star" umbrella so popular is that it has water in the clear handle with sparkling stars that move around when you walk! How beautiful?

The Met Costume Institute Gala
One day when I'm rich and famous, I'll get an invite to the famous ball held annually at the New York museum. Here are some of my fave outfits of the night...
Alexa Chung in 3.1 Philip Lim
Chanel Iman in Michael Kors
Coco Rocha in Zac Posen (I think!)
Nicole Richie
Sarah Jessica Parker in Halston Heritage and Fred Leighton
Zoe Saldana in Calvin Klein Collection

ginger & smart
Since this week is Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, I thought it fitting to talk about some great designers from down under, namely sisters Alexandra and Genevieve Smart from the label Ginger & Smart. They say they design for women who embrace the chic, modern and effortless, and who appreciate that fashion is an expression of individuality.
I like that. And I like their Rhythm of Light A/W 2010 collection!
